Professional Service Charges

Professional fees

  • Our basic funeral charge will include the use of our premises with private office and
    reception facilities.
  • Advice on registering the death.
  • Trained staff to advise at the initial consultation and complete all necessary forms.
  • Liaising with all relevant authorities and clergy or other service providers.
  • Collation of the required documentation which will be verified and forwarded to the
    cemetery or crematorium authority.
  • Forwarding payments for all disbursements at no additional cost.
  • Assistance with wording and placing announcements in local or national newspapers.Receiving and administration of charitable donations.
  • Receiving and handling of floral tributes.
  • Provision of a written estimate of all charges relating to the funeral service.
  • Access to our 24 hour advice line.

Removal/Care of deceased

  • Local removal and conveyance of the deceased (within a 20 mile radius) to our premises
    with their care and accommodation in our chapel of rest until the funeral.
  • Removal times are based on normal business hours – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
    Outside of these times there would be additional fee as applicable.
  • Use of private chapels of rest Monday 9 am to Friday 5pm.
  • Last offices preparation of the deceased, dressing in personal clothing.
  • Provision of mortuary facilities to properly hold and care for the deceased whilst in our care.
  • Attendance of all necessary staff and use of our facilities.

(If at the time of booking a funeral date, should the family request a date exceeding 4 weeks, then additional weekly charges of £50 may apply)

Items in addition to the above basic funeral charge.

Hearse fee

  • Provision of a motor hearse for a period of 2 hours with the services and supervision of a Funeral Director and all necessary, professionally trained pall bearers. To comply with “Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992” we may have to use additional pall bearers, or a wheeled bier and an additional fee may be payable if this is the requirement.

Limousines

  • First limousine £275.00
  • Then, for each limousine thereafter for a maximum period of two hours £295.00
  • Additional charge for each vehicle for extra hour of use, or part thereof £80.00

Hygienic treatment/embalming

  • Hygienic treatment is a specialist treatment carried out by a trained professional to sanitise and ensure the condition of the deceased is maintained until the funeral service.

Additional Requirements

  • Additional charge for the provision of a black or white vintage Horse drawn hearse and pair, inclusive of the motor hearse converted into a floral hearse if required. A deduction will apply if not. £1,350.00
  • Additional charge for the provision of a black or white vintage Horse drawn hearse and team (4 horses), inclusive of motor hearse converted into a floral hearse if required. A deduction will apply if not. £1,950.00
  • Provision of a motor hearse and staff for conveyance of the coffin into a local church for evening reception. £310.00
  • Provision of a motor hearse and staff for conveyance of the coffin to and laying out at a local private address. £310.00
  • Removal & Replace of a lawn memorial from an existing grave for the purpose of interment. From: £485. 00
  • Removal & Replace of a full memorial from an existing grave for the purpose of interment. From: £665.00

(Should the Burial Authority require the memorial to be removed from the Grave and Cemetery for us to store it securely and replace on the Grave after 1 year, we will have to quote individually)
